To provide the heat supply for the Equilibrium office complex in Bucharest, the planners opted for Hoval UltraGas 2 gas condensing boilers – a high-performance heating solution that guarantees reliable and resource-efficient building operation.
As one of Bucharest’s most distinctive office districts, Equilibrium offers modern workspaces covering around 40,700 m², designed to promote flexibility, comfort and a healthy work-life balance. The name ‘Equilibrium’ symbolises the project’s guiding principle: the combination of work, well-being and functionality.

Reliable condensing boiler technology for maximum economy
During the first phase of construction, two Hoval UltraGas 2 condensing boilers, each with an output of 850 kW, were installed to provide heating for the Equilibrium. And for the second phase of the expansion, those in charge once again relied on Hoval’s tried-and-tested heating technology: Two UltraGas 2 condensing boilers, each with an output of 700 kW, were used in Equilibrium 2. The new generation of boilers combines high performance with further improvements in energy efficiency, ensuring that the energy concept of the office block was consistently implemented and adapted to the requirements of the expanded building complex.
UltraGas 2 condensing boilers utilise the heat of condensation contained in the waste heat, thereby achieving a particularly high level of energy efficiency. This calorific value effect enables standard efficiency levels of up to 109 per cent to be achieved, significantly reducing primary energy consumption, operating costs and CO₂ emissions in the process.
Another advantage lies in the modulating operation of the components. Gas condensing boilers flexibly adjust their output to match actual heat demand, thereby ensuring operation tailored to requirements even when the load fluctuates. Particularly in modern office buildings with varying usage patterns, this lays the foundation for a reliable, cost-effective and, not least, comfortable heating supply.
